Income producing properties were supposed to file form RPIE-2011 (Real Property Income and Expense) by Sept. 4, 2012. The NYC Dept. of Finance has sent letters to more than 10,000 delinquent properties, extending the filing deadline.
Even if you did not receive a letter, you should check to see if your property is on the delinquent list. You can do so by clicking here or visiting the DOF at www.nyc.gov/dof. In order to avoid the penalty, your form must be filed electronically no later than April 5, 2013.

Failure to file RPIE statements are subject to a penalty which can range from 3-5% of the property's assessed value.
